PENN-GRADE™ crude oil is a superior quality crude oil that is free of asphaltic constituents, contains only trace amounts of sulfur and nitrogen, and has excellent characteristics for refining into lubricating base stocks.  Lubricants made from refined Pennsylvania Crude Oil have been the choice of equipment manufacturers and consumers for well over 100 years. 

At American Refining Group, Inc. we produce quality PENN-GRADE™ base oils, petroleum resins, petroleum extracts, slack waxes, and petrolatums under the Kendex^® product name.  We also produce specialty PENN-GRADE™ naphthas and distillates under the Kensol^® product name. 

The Lubricants and Specialty Products Division of American Refining Group, Inc. is ISO 9001:2000 Certified.  We have a state-of-the-art blending and packaging facility for high-speed production of engine oils, gear/transmission oils, hydraulic oils and other specialty lubricant products.  We package and distribute our own line of lubricant products under the BRAD PENN^® name.  

American Refining Group, Inc. is also the master distributor for Gulf Oil Limited Partnership servicing the northeastern section of the U.S.   We currently provide private label blending and packaging services to assorted industries, original equipment manufacturers, and various independent private label companies.  This individualized service is a statement of American Refining Group’s commitment to individual customer needs.

Our Bradford, Pennsylvania refinery is conveniently located off of US Route 219 in northwestern Pennsylvania.  We are continuously improving our refinery facilities and operations by investing in new equipment and technology that enables us to consistently provide our domestic and worldwide customers with high-quality products.
